Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand CreamI recently received the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream to try from BzzAgent! I’m a big hand cream user, so I was super excited to try it out. I’ll also be showing off my current polish, since looking at a photo of my hand is probably kind of boring haha.
The polish I’m wearing is Miss Sation in “Off The Record Pink”, which I’ve blogged about before. Its a super pretty, pale pink color…one of my favorites since its such a classic shade that matches everything! The only issue with this polish is that its a little streaky, so I ended up adding another coat (3 coats total) after this picture was taken.
Now onto the review of the Neutrogena Hand Cream! I really love this cream! The consistency of it is actually more of a thick gel. Because it is so thick, you only really need a little dab of it to really coat your hands and nails. This cream is perfect for dry cuticles because of the texture. I think it does a great job of actually working to heal dry skin instead of just covering it up. Its a little sticky right after being applied, but once it absorbs into the skin it leaves your hands super soft and smooth! I’ve used quite a few hand creams, and this is probably one of the best ones I’ve used. I have other ones that are much thicker and leave my hands greasy, and ones that are just too thin and lotion-y and fade very quickly. This cream does neither of those things, and simply leaves hands soft…just be sure to use sparingly!

Benefit “Hello Flawless!” Powder ReviewIts about time I did a product review! I already use Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation (full review here), so I decided to pick up the matching powder since I was running out of Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. I got it in the shade “I’m Cute as Bunny Honey” since I also have the “honey” shade in the liquid foundation.
I can’t tell whether this product is marketed as a powder or a powder foundation, but I’ve been using it primarily as a powder over my liquid foundation. The honey shade in this powder is slightly darker than the liquid foundation shade of the same name, but it isn’t drastically different. I do which the color was closer to the liquid foundation since that matches me perfectly. As long as I don’t cake it on, though, its barely noticeable as being darker.
This powder has amazing coverage! Having used Bare Minerals Mineral Veil for so long (which is translucent), I’m not used to a powder having even a little bit of coverage. Since the Hello Flawless Liquid Foundation is fairly light-medium coverage, this is the perfect finishing touch to get that “flawless” look! I didn’t find the powder drying at all (which is a big issue with my skin in the winter time). It comes with a little brush, which I only use when traveling, as well as a sponge which can be used to pat the powder on small areas as a concealer. I have used this powder by itself before (without liquid foundation) and it gave me a really nice, light coverage! Using it as concealer works perfectly also, so if you’re pressed for time this is a good one-step product to have. Another plus is that it contains SPF 15.
The only downside I have to this is the packaging. I’m not sure if its just me, but I have the hardest time opening this up every morning. The indentation to open up the lid is barely there so I struggle a bit with it, and also with getting to the lower part for the sponge/brush. Not a huge deal, of course, but still annoying! Another downside would be the price ($34), which I find a bit high for a powder.
All in all, I’ve really been loving the combo of this powder and the Hello Flawless liquid foundation! I will most likely purchase it again despite the price.

My November BirchboxEven with the hurricane delay, I actually ended up getting my November Birchbox sooner than I got my October one last month haha. I’m not completely happy with this one but there are a couple products that I like.
Here’s what I got:
- Masqueology Revitalizing Eye Mask eh…I’ll use this I suppose, though I haven’t yet. Not too excited about it though. I like face masks, but I honestly don’t think this eye mask will do anything. Plus there’s only enough for one use I think.
- MCMC Fragrance Phoenix Eau de Parfum Finally a perfume sample with a spray top! I’m not yet sure how I feel about this scent. Its completely different from the flowery scents I usually use, and smells a bit like peach. I don’t love it but I don’t dislike it either! I’m wearing it today and the scent is very long lasting so that’s a plus.
- Kiehl’s Creme de Corps I really love this body cream! It reminds me of a slightly lighter version of Lush’s Dream Cream. The only issue I had with this was it was difficult to get the product out of the little sample bottle because it was so thick. I’ll probably only have enough for maybe one more use.
- stila all over shimmer liquid luminizer The only other liquid luminizer I’ve used is Benefit’s High Beam and I have to say I’m liking the stila much better! It blends very easily and doesn’t feel as watery as high beam.
- EXTRA: Masqueology 7D Moisture Cream This is a tiny foil packet extra…won’t use it as I don’t like experimenting too much with moisturizers or skin care in general.
- EXTRA: Masqueology Masque Cleanse Same as above.
- $15 off coupon for Chromatic Gallerie I actually might use this! I’ve been wearing the same black heels for like 3 years now, and I think its about time I retired them. I haven’t been able to find a closed-toe pump with a nice, short heel that is comfortable.
So all in all, I like a couple products in this box (the Kiehl’s cream and the stila) and I’m on the fence about the perfume but I generally like it. Definitely better than last month’s box, but I much preferred some of the other box options that I saw for this month.

Not Your Mother’s Smooth Moves Frizz Control CreamHello all! This will be a little review of Not Your Mother’s Smooth Moves Frizz Control hair cream, a product that I received compliments of my Influenster Beauty Blogger Vox Box!
At first I was a little disappointed that I didn’t receive the curl cream since I do wear my hair curly more often, but I am really loving this cream for when I straighten my hair! The first time I used it (applied to damp hair), I actually used a little too much. Surprisingly, it still didn’t dry to feel at all sticky or tacky. Every time I use this product, my hair turns out frizz free and much smoother than if I didn’t use it. Sometimes I’ll blow dry my hair, which usually turns it into a poufy frizz ball that I have to straighten immediately, but when I used this cream my hair looked nice without even having to straighten it! The scent is also very fresh and fruity.
All in all, I really love this cream, and best of all the price for the full size is only $6! I will definitely be picking up the full size when my sample tube runs out!

- Not Your Mother’s Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream I kind of would have preferred the curl cream (which some people got) since I curl my hair much more often than straighten, but this product did not disappoint! I used it before blowdrying, and my hair turned out frizz free and practically straight before I even ran my flat iron through it. Great product!
- Goody Simple Styles spin pins I love the idea of these and they are SO easy to use (I’m someone who is a bit challenged when it comes to fancyish hairstyles). However, I think these were a bit too long for my thin hair, because the ends of the pins were visible and poking out (although it did keep my hair very secure). I think I may pick up the “mini” version of these that Goody also sells!
- NYC Individual Eyes Palettes I haven’t tried this palette yet, but it looks like it would be perfect for a smokey eye! It also comes with a primer and highlighter which are super convenient to have in the same palette, especially when traveling.
- Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit I don’t wear falsies (never have) so to be honest I’m not sure if I will ever try this. Halloween is coming up though…and I may make use of these, or give them to someone who definitely would!
- Bath and Body Works mini candle in “Black Pepper Bergamot” I love B&BW’s candles! The scent of this is very musky and reminds me of cologne (which is to say I love it lol). I wish the scent throw was a little better, but it is such a tiny candle. There is also a coupon included for a $10 3-wick candle from B&BW (50% off the original price) which I used this past weekend! The sales people were so amazed at the coupon because they had never seen it before. I had to explain Influenster to them! =p
- EBOOST EBOOST is a powder that you add to water (orange flavor) that is supposed to be a natural energy booster. While I haven’t yet tried this pack, I did receive it in my December Birchbox from last year. I remember thinking it was okay for the energy, but I wasn’t a fan of the flavor or carbonation.
